Marta didn't play.....CHICKEN!! We think they are keeping her from playing until their home opener....smart. She may play in the closed scrimmage on Tuesday, who knows. We ended up losing 2-0 last night. Both goals we basically gave to them, losing the ball in the 18. As for me, I played the last 15 minutes of the 1st half and the 1st 15 of the second half, it was kind of awkward, but ok. I had the most work out of the 3 keepers, which was fun, but at the same time INSANE. Overall, I did alright. Overall it wasn't a bad performance considering we traveled yesterday morning, sat at the airport for almost 3 hours waiting for our rental vans and had very little time to rest before we played. Tuesday should be a different performance overall.
Today we had a training session, the keepers session was pretty intense while the field players was light, makes sense. While we were training we got to see the Goodyear blimp take off, that was an awesome sight. After training and lunch, those of us who didn't have family or friends around(that's me) went to Brandi Chastains friends house on the beach. The house was amazing!! We relaxed, went for a walk, relaxed some more and headed back to the hotel. It all, it was a nice afternoon. I just returned from dinner with 2 of the other keepers, the Japanese player and 2 field players. All the field players kept saying was, "I have never hung out with so many keepers at one time before, you are all so weird". I however, ofter get the comment, "you are pretty normal for a keeper". The best part of the evening was, we were walking through the parking lot, keepers side by side with the field players behind us....they started cracking up...apparently all keepers where their hair in a bun when wet and not playing, and we all walk the same(with a swagger).....
