Game vs. Cal

Final Score.....6-1. The game started out a bit shaky, we were full of high energy, but it felt very stressful. We scored with in the first 10 minutes and it was down hill from there....in the first half. We had some great goals, the passing was beautiful, we had a couple goals where I think almost every player touched the ball before it found the back of the net. Cal is a great team, and they were tough, but we had them chasing throughout the entire first half. Brandi Chastain scored, Carrie Dew, Liz Bogus had 2, Milbrett, and Eriko Arakawa.....ALL IN THE FIRST HALF. There were some neat moments, first, the fans were great, there were lots. Second, Brandi scored and the crowd went wild and she went to the crowd to give hi 5's....HILARIOUS!! Then, Eriko Arakawa scored!! Welcome to America Eriko!! Everyone went and gave her a hug after she scored, making her feel even more welcome. I had the privilege of starting the 2nd half, we played with almost 11 different players on the field, meaning the intensity, energy and nerves were flying...AGAIN. Because we were up by 6 goals, we got a little confident and let a forward slip in behind for a break away.....ON ME...bummer, she finished the first one. She got another chance a little later, I denied her....phew. The keeper coach said I did well, and not much I could do on the break away....I always beg to differ, but I'll take his word tonight. After the game we signed a ton of autographs, and jumped on the bus for the long trip home.
I had no clue the weather could get so chilly here....it was below 40 degrees by the end of the night, with quite a bit of moisture in the air....reminded me of Seattle on a non-rainy training night.
Tomorrow we will hear if we stay or go....I honestly have no clue what will happen, I have my ideas, but I could be wrong....so we shall see.
So, I could see some of you this weekend, or I may be updating you on my next adventure....stay tuned.
P.S. I finished "Twilight" today, on to book #2 starting tomorrow...this is the most I have read in a long, long time....2 books in less than a week....DANG!
