Time sure does fly! I will be on a plane tomorrow at 11:20am on my way to San Jose. The nerves are finally starting to pick up a bit. I had a couple crazy dreams last night....I had a dream I had to run a 300 yard shuttle under 55 seconds in order to start the first day of training....HA!!! Anyways, I have been Frito Laying it up this week, working very hard, long hours to get everything done before I leave my team for two weeks. I have also been training with the best person ever, Lindsey. She has kicked my butt now on and off for a full year...man, to think, I started training for the Sounders a year ago, in hopes that something like this might happen....AND IT DID!!! I sure couldn't have gotten to this point with out some amazing support and commitment from a a lot of people.....THANKS!!
Tonight will consist of a training session with Linds, laundry, packing, coaching my kiddos and a good nights sleep(I hope).
For the next 2 weeks myself and another player will be staying with a host family, well actually we are going to be staying in their cottage that is next to their house. Sounds like it will be a relaxing and fun environment to go back to in between practices. As for practice, we will practice twice a day, almost everyday until the first roster cut, which is March 12th.
So, stay tuned, and I will try to update this with info on how the trainings go, the people I am playing with, etc.
